There are excellent views across
meadows to the surrounding hills - which include Cracken Edge,
Kinder Scout, Chinley Head and Combs Edge. The barn has been
furnished and equipped to a very high standard and makes a
cosy retreat at any time of the year. Within easy reach of
the Pennine Trail and Bridleway it is a great location for
walking, horse riding, cycling or just relaxing and enjoying
the beautiful Peak District countryside.
Greenacres Farm is a smallholding of 11 acres with grazing
available for your own horse (prior arrangement required). Sorry no other pets accepted.
Wildlife abounds in the area, rabbit, hare, fox can commonly
be seen, and you may also be lucky enough to see stoat,
weasel or even a badger. The variety of habitat makes bird
watching a particularly attractive activity. Grouse, pheasant,
heron and lapwing are regularly seen in the fields.
Fed by deep mountain spring water.
Non-smokers only can be accommodated. Children welcome.
Heating, lighting and fuel costs are included in the tariffs
shown. Bedding, towels and tea towels are all provided.
We will also ensure that tea, coffee, sugar and milk are
provided on arrival to help you recover from your journey!
